Tasting note

Color: Medium to dark amber color

Odor: Delicious bouquet of caramel, beeswax and cedar wood, plus malty tones with a hint of chamomile.

Taste: Vanilla aromas as an overture, then becoming stronger up to roasted aromas with tones of orange, honey and some lovage.

aftertaste: Long and full-bodied with a subtle wood aroma.

Features

After our single malt Whisky Matured in American white oak casks for about half a decade, it is transferred to casks that previously held high quality rum from the Caribbean. Caribbean rums are typically strong and spicy in taste. Before bottling, they mature for several months or years in wooden barrels, which absorb the complex aromas of the rum as they mature. We then use particularly high-quality rum casks to finish the SLYRS Single Malt Whiskys. Including some barrels in which Rhum Agricole (made from sugar cane juice - not from molasses as usual) was previously stored. At the finish he takes Whisky the typical rum flavors and becomes one of our masterpieces.
